Books that helped me become better.
I get a LOT of people asking me what books I recommend.
Honestly, I didn’t read very much before I got my Kindle…but now I fire through books and love it. Really a life-changing device for me, which is rare.
So here is my list of books that I “highly recommend” to friends and family.
Not all are business books, but every one of these has made me a better, stronger, smarter and wiser.
In no particular order, and updated over time as I come across greats:
48 Laws of Power — Read it once, refer to it often.
33 Strategies of War — Timeless lessons with great historical examples
Blue Ocean Strategy — We use this on every idea and every investment we make
Think and Grow Rich — Powerful yet mystic, core ideas proven.
Starting Strength — Build muscle and mind at the same time, same approach
The Fountainhead — A breeze compared to Atlas, powerful…motivating
Atlas Shrugged — Took me 34 years to find this book and it changed me for the better.
Lone Survivor — You may never complain about conditions or procrastinate again
Rework — Read this before you try to build and unveil the grand cathedral
Talent is Overrated — Deliberate practice. That is all.
No — Excellent book on negotiation gets right to the core principle that matters.
