When you start doing something, a lot of people will have an opinion about it.
It’s tempting to analyze their feedback based on the feedback itself.
Most of us have an internal bias towards hearing the good things about our product, and ignoring the bad. That’s a problem…but it’s not THE problem.
THE problem is that you’re listening to the wrong people in the first place. I don’t care if it’s positive, negative or orgasmic….if it’s the wrong person saying it….it doesn’t matter AT ALL.
If it’s the right person giving their opinion, LISTEN carefully. The list of “right people” is pretty short: YOU and your realistic potential clients and partners.
If it’s the wrong person giving their opinion, F it. Smile, nod, or whatever gesture you think they deserve.
When you have a well-defined core, YOU will be 90% of the feedback that you need.
Speak to yourself honestly. Listen to yourself honestly.
